After more than 20 years, the fast-food chain unveiled this year a new brand identity. Paying tribute to its 69's logo, this redesign presents a more minimal and flat design. Here's a comparison of the chain's latest logos:

The use of more organic/natural colors definitely aids the association with a more healthy and quality food in oppose to the previous one. It also reminds me of a mid-century aesthetic, which contributes to the nostalgia. The less aggressive but cheerful identity is a more up to date approach to the consumer behavior that has been changing among the years. Burger King is known for their great marketing campaigns and social media strategy, and this branding evolution is a great fit for them and their audience. The company is making sure they are staying current without losing its identity, which enforces tradition, something most brands work so hard for.
