Meow Wolf's Welcomes You To Omega Mart's Dystopian Reality

The Santa Fe based collective Meow Wolf is now showcasing its permanent installation at the cultural complex Area15, located in Las Vegas. This is the collective's third wild mind-bending installation/experience and it's a result of more than 12 years of work from the creators.

Omega Mart is a 52,000 square foot shopping adventure with more than 60 distinctive spaces divided in four themes and featuring more than 100 custom-made products. Visitors are able to wander around through secret doors, slides, interact with mysterious products and immerse themselves at this nothing but ordinary market.

In my opinion, when roaming around the products featured in the installation have comical and thought provoking names that makes us feel like we are in a Stranger Things episode. But they are also a discussion about society's consumption culture. Here's a few of them:

I was absolutely taken by the incredible attention for the details and how immersive the installation it is. All the products and spaces are incredibly well thought out. This parallel reality offers a bizarre but fun escape to all art and design lovers.
