Released in 2008 through Cactus Jack Records and Grand Hustle Records, and distributed by Epic Records, the album Astroworld was a success among hip hop fans, musical charts and critics. The grammy-nominated album was nominated after the extinct theme park Six Flags Astroworld in Houston, Texas, where Travis is from.

In a interview in GQ in 2017, Travis discussed about the concept of his album: "They tore down AstroWorld to build more apartment space. That’s what it’s going to sound like, like taking an amusement park away from kids. We want it back. We want the building back. That’s why I’m doing it. It took the fun out of the city."

Astroworld mixes hip hop with psychedelic rap and trap music. It's chaotic and liberating and it translates the feeling of losing childhood and innocence which metamorphosed into who Travis Scott is today. Like a superhero, It's his origin story.

I did my own interpretation of this incredible album, through a dystopian post-apocalyptic reality which represents to translate the album’s sound and narrative. The chaos, childhood loss, and the ultimate self-transformation caused by the demolition of Travis Scott’s favorite amusement park. I also integrated into the concept the butterfly motif that has been a common symbol used by Travis Scott

Here's the result:

What are your thought about Travis' cover? Do you think it represents well the concepts explored in the songs?
